She earned her Master’s degree in Public Health in 2016 from the University of Washington. In 2015, Patty joined the Healthcare Associated Infections team at the Washington State Department of Health where she led the Infection Control Assessment and Response (ICAR) program and where she continues to lead infection prevention outreach efforts helping facilities and local health jurisdictions to evaluate and respond to breaches in infection control.
